Homeless Reflection / Original Photography and Song (APART initiative)

in ReggaeJAHM3 months ago

Por work issues I stay much of the day in the street, while I move around the streets of Bogotá- Colombia, I usually see many people from different cultures, social levels, among other things that differentiate us as humans who are part of a society. Luckily I like to socialize a lot, it's something you learn from, it's a way to test yourself as well as to learn.

But unfortunately I see very often street people, regardless of age. Many young people who fall into these states because of drug addiction, I prefer to maintain a neutral position in this regard, because everyone has their weaknesses, in addition to family complications that are present and for many adolescents is not easy to cope. I am not justifying anything, it is just a commentary, but the reality is that each one of us has specific tools to overcome different situations, there are those who lack those tools.

Not only do I usually see young people, I also meet very often older people who have no place to sleep, who live from day to day what others give them out of charity. Obviously, there are those who could say: "What will he have done, how will he have been when he was young and his family doesn't support him?"

It is a question that I could understand, we all make mistakes, while we are alive, to err will be something that we will surely do, but, I do not speak of the past, but of the present and the way in which this situation impacts everyone from the social, psychological and economic point of view, even in matters of security.

I know that I am not going to fix the world with this publication, but if I vent a little what I think about it at least in me it has some reassuring effect.

Regarding these previous images, and my not so short reflection, I bring this video to share with everyone. I like music, although it is a bit nostalgic, but I feel that it transmits an emotion that anyone can perceive, even without understanding the language, and the chorus in the background also has its auditory impact.

Pupajim - Homeless

Regarding the author, there is not much content on the web, however here you can know a little about his origins. Later on you may bring a little more information about this artist who has a particular style.

I leave the letter below:

Homeless - Pupajim

A man is in the street tonight
He's searching in the rubbish on the light
A man is in the street tonight
Wohoowohowi
I watch him by the window
I can ear in the fogga (fog, uncertain line)
In the harbour the wind flow
The bark of a dog
Woof
Wohoowohowi
A man is in the street tonight
He's searching in the rubbish on the light
A man is in the street tonight
Special request to all homeless boy
Special request to all homeless
Special request to all homeless girl
Special request to all homeless
I watch him by the window
I can ear in the fog
In the harbour the wind flow

Indeed, we know not the circumstances that led them to be homeless. It’s best to have empathy towards the people of the streets. It could easily happen to anyone. In Japan there aren’t many homeless but it is interesting that the ones I see don’t want anything from you usually. The homeless in Tokyo usually ask foreigners for help as the Japanese almost never take the time to even look their way. Great way to bring attention to the ills of the world and have us think more open to the homeless. The song is on point.

Hi @dmilliz
Yes, it could certainly happen to anyone, unfortunately. I am very careful about many things, being in a country that is not your own, even more so. We are all subject to calamities.
