The heritage that Bob Marley left for music in general is a treasure that lives in every heart from the youngest to the oldest have heard their music and has inspired many new talents.

This Jamaican as we all know left a large family
a offspring that has reggae in its veins.

One of these cases is represented by his grandson Skip Marley, son of Cedella Marley and David Minto.

Skip Marley He was born on June 4, 1996 in Kingston, the capital of Jamaica, currently 23 years old.

Marley is a singer, songwriter and singer-songwriter ...

Marley has had strong musical roots that gave her fertile ground to develop her natural gift to create and interpret ...

In 2015 he released his first single, Cry to me.

Cry To Me, his first single for Tuff Gong International, was written and arranged by Skip himself, and co-produced by Skip with Paul Fakhourie (Lauryn Hill, Stephen Marley, Damian Marley, Nas).

lyric
Sometimes it's so hard to be, happy
When all you do is hold on to your insecurities
A hurting heart is the most, painful
So let it all out and, oh cry () Cry... cry to me, if u wanna
Its fine... fine by me
Cause i'll hold you, you see inside...
Heard you leave
So cry... cry to me
When will you emerge from, your hideaway
From your true feelings that you want, escape
Maybe it's my mind driftin too far away, into space
Fly away to a, better place
There's no other spot
I'd rather lay
So don't be scared no,
I won't hurt you
() Cry... cry to me, if u wanna
Its fine... fine by me
Cause i'll hold you, you see inside...
Heard you leave
So cry... cry to me
We're better together, in any weather
If it's cold im your sweater
If it rains I'm your umrella
No one is perfect, but to me you're perfection
What are flaws beside, their creation
Ain't gonna walk trough theheartaches Walk through the pain
Don't feel alone in the shadow
You're not the one to blame society deceives your mind
Tells you what you should be
How to look and to act, and what to believe is real
Let it all go, it will make you feel better
So drop it all and cry to me if you want to
() Cry... cry to me, if u wanna
Its fine... fine by me
Cause i'll hold you, you see inside...
Heard you leave
So cry... cry to me cry... cry to me if u wanna
It's fine... it's fine by me cause
I'll hold you
It's fine...

Another important song of Skip, is Lions published in February 2017...it is a melody in which the musical genres of the Pop Reggae are distinguished
Pop Rock, Electropop.

Music video by Skip Marley performing Lions. (C) 2017 Island Records, a division of UMG Recordings, Inc.

Some said 'never' but the never done come
Yeah, and took our trust
Hate's been winning, but the lovers ain't done
Yeah, not on my watch
Yeah, if ya took all my rights away
Yeah, if ya tellin' me how to pray
Yeah, if ya won't let us demonstrate
Yeah, wrong
Yeah, if ya thinking I don't belong
Yeah, if ya hiding behind a gun
Yeah, if ya hoping we're gonna run
Wrong
We are the lions, we are the chosen
We gonna shine out the dark
We are the movement, this generation
You better know who we are, who we are
Yeah, if I
Some said 'fire' when the fire was ice
No, and sold a lie
Some may buy it, I'm not paying the price
No, not in this life
Yeah, if ya took all my rights away
Yeah, if ya tellin' me how to pray
Yeah, if ya won't let us demonstrate
Yeah, you're wrong
Yeah, if ya thinking I don't belong
Yeah, if ya hiding behind a gun
Yeah, if ya hoping we're gonna run
Ya wrong
We are the lions, we are the chosen
We gonna shine out the dark
We are the movement, this generation
You better know who we are, who we are
Deep down in everyone, there's a little fire
Let me get higher, I'll fuel the fire
Already high up, I'll take you higher
Real conga nyah, girls admire, well
Living, we growing with pride
All of the lions, we strive
Working so hard to unite
United, we tired of lies, tired of lies, whoa ah ooh
We are the lions, we are the chosen
We gonna shine out the dark
We are the movement, this generation
You better know who we are
We are the lions, we are the chosen
We gonna shine out the dark
We are the movement, this generation
You better know who we are
Yeah, you know that some said 'never' but the never done come
We gonna shine out the dark
Oh, they know that hate's been winning, but the lovers ain't done
You better know who we are, who we are
Yeah, if I

made an important collaboration with the American singer Katy Perry, in the song Chained to the rhythm released on February 10, 2017 as the first single of her fourth studio album Witness.

lyric
Are we crazy?
Livin' our lives through a lens
Trapped in our white picket fence
Like ornaments
So comfortable, we're livin' in a bubble, bubble
So comfortable, we cannot see the trouble, trouble
Aren't you lonely
Up there in utopia
Where nothing will ever be enough?
Happily numb
So comfortable, we're livin' in a bubble, bubble
So comfortable, we cannot see the trouble, trouble
Ah, so good
Your rose-colored glasses on
And party on (woo)
Turn it up, it's your favorite song
Dance, dance, dance to the distortion
Turn it up, keep it on repeat
Stumblin' around like a wasted zombie
Yeah, we think we're free
Drink, this one's on me
We're all chained to the rhythm
To the rhythm, to the rhythm
Turn it up, it's your favorite song
Dance, dance, dance to the distortion
Turn it…

another prodigious and charming song is That's Not True ft
The music video was directed by Andrew Sandler and shows Skip walking around the Little Haiti neighborhood in Miami with his friends, the locals and his uncle Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley.

Sort:

Skip has some solid songs. The one with Katty Perry was very strategic, I remember it showing in movie theaters before some films started. He has a vibe just like his grand dad.

Don't worry Mariluna, you are gonna get regarding the he/ she . I have no doubt.

I know people have mentioned this before:
He .... His..... Him.... refers to the male gender
Her.... She... refers to the female gender

It is just a matter of semantics,
the study of meanings.
Give you loads of credit just writing
English, knowing it is your second language.
No disrespect whatsoever, just envy that
you are multi languaged.
When I took Spanish is high school years ago
I had the same problem with pronouns.
My teacher gave me hell all the time.

Respect @mariluna
